lyrics

You suffered alone,
Living just to make it through
Carried away,
The tide is strong to swim against
Drowning as our lungs give in.

Beneath the smile that you wore
An Endless sea of sorrow
Under the guise of your skin
You’re just an empty shell.

Why do we keep running towards the place that we despise the most
(When Will We Learn?)
Everything we’ve had was just a memory we’ve held too long
(Longer than we should have)

Despite all the things that we’ve been through
I never once said that I’d leave you
To suffer alone
To suffer in Silence
I know that we’ll make it
Have faith we’ll make it through.

You suffered alone,
Living just to make it through
Carried away,
The tide is strong to swim against
Drowning as our lungs give in.

Beneath the smile that you wore
An Endless sea of sorrow
Under the guise of your skin
You’re just an empty shell.

Over and over again
We do this to ourselves
Over and over again
Why can’t we just walk away?

“We all have many regrets. One of mine was watching a love(d) one sink deeper into the darkest parts of her mind all while I pretended everything was alright. It went on up till the day she attempted to take her own life.

I used to think anyone could forget or walk away from the pain and the problems. But that was never an option for her. Sometimes the weight gets too much for one to bear and that’s when they need a helping hand. My regret was not being that helping hand for her.”⁣
